BirdieDuel – golf against friends: a free web app to score your round, challenge friends to a fairly handicapped duel and settle private competitions without paper and pencil.
BirdieDuel is a digital scorecard for your phone that keeps working without signal on the course. On top of it you can play 1-vs-1 duels, flight games with up to four players and tournaments across several rounds. The app calculates handicap strokes from handicap index, course rating, slope and tee.
Sidebets are settled in credits. Credits are play money with no real value — BirdieDuel is not real-money gambling. The app is available in German and English.
A private match between friends takes more arithmetic than anyone wants on the course: allocating handicap strokes, comparing hole results, keeping the match play score and settling bets afterwards. On paper that is error-prone, and players in different groups only learn the result later.
BirdieDuel does the maths. Everyone enters their score once and the app works out the duel — even when both players tee off at different times on the same day.
BirdieDuel is the name of the app and the brand. It is provided and operated by MLSys Beteiligung & Beratung UG (haftungsbeschränkt), based in Eschweiler, Germany. The company develops BirdieDuel, runs birdieduel.com and is responsible for its content.
